Héctor Hurtado Grooscors
Female fronted doom metal from Spain with all the ingredients to succeed: long songs, devoloped on hypnotic and heavy riffs, groove basses, melodic passages, ethereal vocals with references to witchcraft and the occult. What else do you want?
Favorite track: Flesh Ceremony.
Their most atmospheric and cinematic album to date, Messa first album also includes some epic doom and rock songs. Messa sound and style will be perfected in their sophomore album which feels even more natural and organic, but there are already some mature songwriting skills in display on that first album. The last acoustic ballad beautifully ends it all. A powerful and passionate singer too. David Yvinec
Hypnotic is what Frayle is. The spell has been cast. I am lured by the siren voice. The sludgy doom guitar playing pull at my heart strings. My feet wants to pound with the drums. My favorite track is "Burn" and is what caught me and wouldn't let me go. I am now a devoted fan. Listen to Frayle ritualistically, preferably in the dark. Lanna E
This album transcends musical genre by including elements of doom, of psychedelic rock, of jazz, of blues and even of black metal. Intelligent and absolutely powerful music with a strong charismatic singer, it never sounds pretentious. This is rather an emotional and a beautiful album with some great cinematic qualities to it. A gem! David Yvinec
